Welcome to the Southwestern Illinois Council of Mayors website!
Our Purpose:
The function of the Council is to provide a means by which geographically related counties of Southwestern Illinois may cooperate by serving the public interest in matters of mutual concern. The Council provides a medium through which its member mayors may jointly study and solve mutual problems at all levels of government; exchange viewpoints and experiences in matters of local government; and, when necessary, speak as a body for the purpose of achieving common goals.
